A Delta Airlines gift card is one gift option for travelers. Whether it's a trip home for the holidays or a long-planned dream vacation, a gift card or certificate can be redeemed to significantly reduce travel costs. With airfare prices steadily rising, a gift certificate can be a welcome sight for travel buffs who want to get away but aren't sure if they can afford it. Delta Airlines offers gift certificates that can be used to purchase air travel or Delta vacation packages.

Gifting Delta Sky Miles
Another way to help out a travel nut is to gift them Delta Sky Miles. Both the giver's and the recipient's Sky Miles numbers are needed for the transaction. As little as 2000 miles can be gifted or as much as 30,000 per transaction with a maximum of 60,000 annually, depending on what is in the Sky Miles account. 1994 Delta Commercial
In this commercial from 1994, a Delta announcer says that every day Delta Airlines flies over 200 planes per week from Europe to America and that it calls for some synchronized flying. The shot opens with a Delta airplane then switches back and forth from flying planes to dolphins swimming together. As the commercial plays, more planes are added, until there are several flying together in formation, much like air force planes. There are also shots of planes flying opposite directions. It ends with the slogan, "Delta Airlines, we love to fly and it shows." The song, "Adiemus" is playing in the background during the entire commercial.
