Former professional basketball guard player Dell Curry played in the National Basketball Association from 1986 to 2002. After retiring, he briefly served as an assistant coach for the Charlotte Bobcats.

Basketball Career
After playing college basketball with the Virginia Tech Hokies, Curry was selected 15th overall in the 1986 NBA draft by the Utah Jazz. He made his professional debut with the Jazz that same year, playing in 67 games and recording 325 points, 78 rebounds, 58 assists, 27 steals and four blocks. Curry was selected by the Charlotte Bobcats in the 1988 NBA Expansion Draft and went on to play ten seasons with the Bobcats. In 1994, he was selected for the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award, given to the most outstanding non-starting player. He left the Bobcats for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1998-1999 season, then spent his final three seasons with the Toronto Raptors.NBA.com: Dell Curry Profile
