Deliverance is a 1972 movie that was based on the 1970 novel Deliverance by James Dickey, who also worked on the Screenplay. Deliverance stars Burt Reynolds, Ronny Cox, Jon Voight, and Ned Beatty as adventurers who run into trouble on a rafting trip in the Georgia wilderness.
