The site was moved to Delicious.com on July 31, 2008. The Delicious team stated that the reason for the move was to help people find the website by preventing confusion on where the periods should be. Del.icio.us was acquired by Yahoo! in December 2005. In September of 2007 the site announced it was developing Delicious 2.0. The Delicious 2.0 site launched on July 31, 2008.
