Delicious is a social bookmarking site founded by Joshua Schachter. The service is like a web-based version of an internet browser's bookmarks or favorites. Users have the ability to save and share their favorite links from around the internet.TechCrunch: Delicious 2.0 Launches(July 31, 2008)
To make it easy to organize the links, Delicious also includes the ability to tag each item. The service also allows the setup of a friend network, allowing a person to see what his or her friends are bookmarking.Delicious Blog: Oh happy day — the new Delicious is here (July 31, 2008)
The site was moved to Delicious.com on July 31, 2008. The Delicious team stated that the reason for the move was to help people find the website by preventing confusion on where the periods should be. This move came with the launch of the new Delicious site, Delicious 2.0.TechCrunch: Delicious 2.0 Launches(July 31, 2008) Delicious Blog: Oh happy day — the new Delicious is here (July 31, 2008)
