Career
Kelley's first movies were Fear in the Night and Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. After nine years of portraying villains, Kelly broke away and starred in Where Love Has Gone. Kelley played Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy from 1966 to 1969 in Roddenberry's Star Trek (TOS) and he made appearances in the first six Star Trek motion pictures from 1979 to 1991.
Death
Kelley died on June 11, 1999, in Woodland Hills, California, at the age of 79 due to stomach cancer. Many Star Trek fans were very angered when he wasn't included in the Memoriam Montage at the following year's Academy Awards.
