Defiance is a dramatic film based on the true story of three Jewish brothers, (Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber and Jamie Bell) who escaped Nazi-occupied Poland during World War II. The brothers became part of a Russian resistance which led more than 1200 Jews into the forest of Belarus, where they were trained to survive and become warriors.
Composer Danny Elfman was nominated for a Best Score Oscar for his work on the film.
