Debra Marshall

Debra Marshall is a real estate agent and former professional wrestling manager and WWE Diva. In 2007, Marshall made several appearances on various news programs to discuss the Chris Benoit story. Marshall made her debut in World Championship Wrestling in 1996 before she joined the WWF in 1998.

Wrestling and Drugs

During her appearances on new programs such as Hannity & Colmes, Marshall discussed the issue of drugs in the professional wrestling world. She said that her former husband Steve Austin was on drugs when he beat her, which was the reason she filed for divorce. She stated that drugs can change a person and are likely the reason for Chris Benoit killing his family.

Marshall also discussed a "code of silence" that WWE had. This caused her not to tell anyone about Austin beating her because it would cost the company millions of dollars due to the fact that he was one of the biggest stars. She finally revealed the truth several years later after suffering from depression.
