  • Deborah Gibson (formerly "Debbie" Gibson) is a former teen pop star who has since made a comeback as an adult-contemporary artist. She is currently the youngest person ever to have written, produced and performed a #1 hit single with her 1991 hit "Foolish Beat".

  • Introduction to music

    Her performance career began at the age of 5, she performed with her sisters in the theater and penned her first song "Make Sure You Know Your Classroom". She quickly started ululele and piano lessons to advance her musical talents.

  • Hit records

    Altantic Records signed her and released her first album Out of the Blue. Five singles from the hit album reached the top 5 on the billboard charts "Only in My Dreams," "Shake Your Love," "Out Of The Blue," "Foolish Beat," and one more was in the top 25, "Staying Together."

    Her second album Electric Youth earned her acclaim as it was number one on the charts in its debut week for both the album and the single "Lost in Your Eyes." She shared the ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Award with Bruce Springsteen in 1989 for her work in writing the album.

  • Latest appearences

    Gibson appeared in the March 2005 edition of Playboy Magazine to coincide with her "Naked" single. She also was a guest on the celebrity reality television show Skating with Celebrities.
