Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a Jewish-American Democratic congresswoman from Florida, elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2004. She represents Florida's 20th congressional district.

Wasserman Schultz was one of four speakers selected to second the nomination of Barack Obama at the 2008 Democratic Convention. Schultz was a national co-chairwoman of Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign. Wasserman Schultz is scheduled to speak on August 27, 2008, the third night of the Democratic National Convention.
