What is Death Note
Death Note started out as a manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba with art by Takeshi Obata. Weekly Shōnen Jump first started publishing Death Note in Japan from December 2003 to May 2006. This series became so popular that it spawned a 37 episode anime TV series, 2 anime movies, a light novel, 3 Live-action Movies, and 3 video games.
The story focuses on Light Yagami a student who finds a supernatural notebook. The notebook kills anyone who's name is written in it. Light tries to use the notebook in attempt to cleanse the world of evil.
