"If something in your writing gives support to people in their lives, that's more than just entertainment - which is what we writers all struggle to do, to touch people." — Dean KoontzBrainyQuote.com: Dean Koontz quotes

Moonlight Bay Trilogy

In 2007, Koontz released the novel Fear Nothing. The book is the first installment of what is supposed to be a three part series, the Moonlight Bay Trilogy, featuring Christopher Snow, who suffers from the rare but real disease called XP (xeroderma pigmentosum) which leaves him dangerously vulnerable to light. The second of the series is Seize the Night'released in 1998. There is no release date yet for the third installment.

Fear Nothing follows 24 hours of Christopher Snow's life as he discovers and attempts a mysterious conspiracy centered around a military compound called Wyvern while investigating the death of his mother. He discovers she was engaged in secret experiments at the nearby military base, experiments which went wrong and produced monsters (strange rhesus monkeys).

In Seize the Night children start disappearing. Christopher Snow believes they are still alive and their disappearance has something to do with the military experiments and he sets out to find the missing children, including the son of a former sweetheart and in doing so his genetic handicap becomes his greatest advantage.
