Dead Space is a sci-fi horror video game for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and for PCs. The game starts out with a mining ship called the USG Ishimura as it comes into contact with an alien artifact. When this happens, the ship loses contact with Earth. Engineer Isaac Clarke, which is who the player plays as, is sent to repair the communications but finds something very different. The USG Ishimura, simply floating in space, is drenched into a blood bath. The crew is mutilated, torn up, and infected with a type of alien scourge. When Clarke appears at the ship thinking it's just a repair mission, he soon finds something much worse: a battle for survival against deadly aliens. He must fight against the aliens and take the strange artifact back to Earth without dying first.
