Secret Achievements

These achievements are all in-game actions that you need to perform. They take place at several different times throughout the game.
Warning! The names of these achievements are secret because they contain SPOILERS!

Kickin It

Points Earned: 10

Unlocked by escaping from the grab attack of a Lurker 10 times. Lurkers are the necromorphs that inhabit the bodies of fetuses, first appearing in Chapter Two: Intensive Care. If these enemies get close to you, they'll leap at your face and attack you with their three sharp tentacles. Rapidly press the A Button to escape from the attack and kill the Lurker. Do this 10 times throughout the course of the game to earn the achievement.

Brute Force

Points Earned: 15

Unlocked by killing a Brute. You'll earn this achievement in Chapter Four: Obliteration Imminent.

Don't Get Cocky, Kid

Points Earned: 10

Unlocked by surviving the ADS cannon sequence in Chapter Four: Obliteration Imminent with more than 50 percent shield strength. During this sequence, in which you need to use a mounted cannon to shoot asteroids before they collide with the ship, you'll see a display with a numerical value representing the strength of the Ishimura's defense shields. The ADS cannon sequence requires you only to survive for a certain amount of time. Do so while taking a minimum of damage to earn this achievement.

Exterminator

Points Earned: 15

Unlocked by killing the Leviathan. You'll earn this achievement in Chapter Six: Environmental Hazard.

Playing Catch

Points Earned: 10

Unlocked by catching a Brute or Leviathan Pod using Kinesis. You can earn this achievement easily in the fight against the Leviathan in Chapter Six: Environmental Hazard. The Leviathan will shoot fleshy pods at you in groups of five, which you need to dodge. Catch the last one and you can use it as a weapon as well as unlock the achievement.

Get Off My Ship!

Points Earned: 15

Unlocked by killing the Slug Boss at the end of Chapter Eight: Search and Rescue. You'll earn this during the normal course of the game, in order to complete the chapter.

Slugger

Points Earned: 10

Unlocked by defeating the Slug Boss at the end of Chapter Eight with more than 50 percent hull integrity remaining. During this sequence, in which you need to use a mounted cannon to a huge slug enemy, you'll see a display with a numerical value representing the strength of the Ishimura's hull integrity. The ADS cannon sequence requires you to kill the boss by hacking off its six tentacle arms with the cannon. Do so while taking a minimum of damage to earn this achievement.
