On February 21, 2008, EA Games and Image Comics announced that they would be working on a comic book series focusing on the events that take place before Isaac Clarke and his crew board the derelict spacecraft, the USG Ishimura, in Dead Space. The series spans a total of six parts with an additional non-canon introductory issue. Each one can be purchased as a hard copy for $2.99 or viewed online in its animated form for free.The story takes place primarily from the perspective of Sergeant Abraham Neumann, a high ranking private security officer who bears witness to the tragedy that unfolds after a mining crew stumbles upon a large double helix shaped pillar during a planetary sweep.Wikipedia: Dead Space Comics
