As a promotion for Dead Space, Electronic Arts announced that any players who purchase the game within the first two weeks of its release will receive a code for an exclusive downloadable outfit for their in-game character. The outfits are different for the different platforms, with the Xbox 360 getting the "Elite Suit" and the PS3 getting the "Obsidian Suit." The suits' color schemes are designed to reflect the platform they appear on.
