Dead Space 2 Walkthrough

Dead Space 2 is a third-person sci-fi shooter/horror survival game for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It was developed by Visceral Games and is being published by Electronic Arts. A sequel to 2008's Dead Space, Dead Space 2 features tense exploration of a spacestation overrun by monsters called "necromorphs."

In addition to the single-player campaign, Dead Space 2 features an online multiplayer. Each match has two rounds. During one round you take the role of humans trying to accomplish certain objectives while being attacked by creatures. During the other round the roles are reversed as you try to kill the humans.

Dead Space 2 is an over-the-shoulder, third-person shooter. Drawing inspiration from games like Resident Evil 4, the player is given ample view of frontal space. This perspective does not allow the player to see what's behind them. We all know that survival horror is about not knowing what's around the next corner or what will be coming after you, therefore, it forces players to look back over their shoulder continuously in order to stay safe.

There are various ways to take down enemies in Dead Space 2, ranging from a lethal arsenal to basic attacks. Unique to the game is the ability to stomp fallen, still-breathing enemies as well as severing the limbs from their bodies. Dead Space 2 is all about conserving ammunition. When lacking ammo, however, the player can also incorporate unconventional weapons like pipes and boxes in order to defeat the enemy.
