The Dead Rising 2 official trailer reveals some of the improvements that have been implemented in the game by Blue Castle Games, the developer of this title.

Scheduled to be released on September 28,2010 Dead Rising 2 is the sequel to Dead Rising. As a horror action-adventure video game and the second episode in the franchise, Dead Rising 2 brings back the zombie fight to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The main character in the game is Chuck Greene and the action takes place in Fortune City. Since almost the entire country is filled with zombies, Chuck must find a way to defeat them in order to save his daughter, also infested with the parasite.

In an interview for Gamasutra.com, Shin Ohara, co-producer of Dead Rising 2, was asked how many zombies can fit on screen in Dead Rising 2. Ohara answered:

"Last year at Captivate we did a demo. We had a strip -- It was probably like 10 meters wide and 200 meters long. We filled it with about 7,000 zombies. After about 3,000, you can't really tell the difference because it fills up the screen anyway. Over 3,000, it ruins the experience. It's not a game anymore. We can show about 7,000 zombies if we wanted to, our technology is not limiting us. If the game only shows about 500 zombies or 1,000 zombies, that's not the game's limit. The trailer starts by presenting the facts from the previous game in this series. It explains how the parasite which transforms normal people into zombies became uncontrollable. The government tried to hide the events and now the zombies have overwhelmed the citizens of the United States.

When everyone lost hope a new hero, Chuck Greene appeared. The trailer humorously presents Chuck’s personality.

The trailer also presents several weapons, including a chainsaw that is attached to a stick. Later in the trailer the same stick has 2 chainsaws.
