Dead or Alive 4 is a fighting game that features twenty-two characters and several multi-tiered fighting arenas. It is the fourth game in the Dead or Alive series but the first to include an online competitive element. As a 3D fighting game DOA 4 is a direct competitor with Virtua Fighter 4 and Sony's Tekken 6. DOA 4 was initially scheduled to be launched with the Xbox 360 console in 2005 but ended up being delayed until the following month just prior to Christmas.
