The man who led the 2002 sniper attacks in the Washington, DC suburbs was executed at 9:11 PM on November 10, 2009. "Beltway Sniper" John Allen Muhammad was executed by lethal injection at a prison near Jarratt, Virginia. He says he didn't hear him utter a word the entire time.

Through three weeks in October, 2002 Muhammad and accomplice Lee Boyd Malvo killed 10 people and wounded 3, leaving written messages and telephoned threats and demands.
