The Daytona Twin 150s, known officially as the Gatorade Duel, consists of two 150-mile races that help determine the field for the Daytona 500. Originally, these began as two 100-mile races, then were changed to 125-mile races, and most recently were increased to two 150-mile races.
Daytona 500
The Daytona 500 is the first race of the NASCAR season. It is run every February in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Daytona International Speedway
Founded in 1947, the Daytona International Speedway is located in Daytona Beach Florida, about 90 minutes south of Jacksonville. The speedway has a capacity of 167,785, and hosts a series of racing events throughout the year. It is afocus of attention for the 4-week period in late January and early February known as Speedweeks, when several important race events are held. These include the 24 Hours Of Daytona, the Daytona ARCA 200, the Budweiser Shootout, and the Daytona Twin 150s, culminating in the race known as the "Super Bowl of NASCAR", the Daytona 500.
