Jail for the Pitcher
Peoria pitcher Julio Castillo was arrested and taken to jail in Dayton, Ohio, for his role in the brawl. Castillo hit two Dragons hitters in the first inning, and after a heated managers' conference became a shoving match, the benches emptied. After the brawl was underway, Castillo threw another ball which hit a fan in the stands. The fan had to be hospitalized.
