Day to Day

Day to Day is a radio program on National Public Radio that focuses on topics such as technology, finance and the Iraq War. NPR announced December 10, 2008, that as part of company wide-cutbacks, Day to Day would be canceled, and its hosts would be laid off. The show is broadcast each weekday from Culver City, California. The final broadcast will be March 20, 2009.NPR: Unemployed Radio Hosts Inquire About Prospects (December 10, 2008)

Day to Day was created as a partnership between Slate and NPR. The writers and editors of Slate regularly contribute to the show, and portions of the show are often featured on the magazine's website.

Controversy

The partnership sparked controversy when it was announced in 2003, as it was NPR's first program collaboration with a for-profit media entity since its founding in 1970.
