Dawn of the Dead is the sequel to George A. Romero's classic Night of the Living Dead, where the bodies of the dead are re-animated and walk the earth searching for humans to feed on. The film was remade in 2004 and retained the plot but added a new cast.
The United States is hit by a plague that attacks the bodies of the deceased causing them to reanimate into flesh eating Zombies.
The government takes all out actions to combat the zombie epidemic only to fail. The few remaining survivors, seek refuge in a secluded shopping mall.
