Dawn and Cody Freis were contestants on the first season of the reality show, Here Come the Newlyweds, which aired on ABC in Spring, 2008. Dawn left her previous job to be a flight attendant, so she could spend all of her time with Cody, who is a pilot. On the fourth episode, the Freis won $30,000 by selling the "immunity" they had won when Cody went shopping for Dawn and sized seven out of eight items correctly. This decision, which caused debate between the couple, worked out for them, since they did not get voted off at the end of the show, but were eliminated by Heather and Lance Holmes during the following episode.
The Freis returned along with the rest of the eliminated couples for the season finale, during which all the contestants were awarded second honeymoon trips to Aruba.
