Life and Career
David Wenham was born in New South Wales, Australia. He has five older sisters and one brother and was raised as a Catholic.
He first came to fame in Australia for his role as "Diver Dan" in the Australian series SeaChange. Soon after that he appeared in a number of films, but his biggest blockbuster appearance to date has been as Faramir in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings.
He has a daughter with girlfriend Kate Agnew. In 2008 he is set to appear in Baz Luhrmann's Australia opposite Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman.
