Wells made his Major League Baseball debut on June 30, 1987. IN his first season he appeared in 18 games and finished the season with a record of 4-3. Wells has since played for several teams throughout his career including the Detroit Tigers, Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, San Diego Padres and Boston Red Sox. Perfect Game
Wells is widely recognized for pitching a perfect game on May 17, 1998, as a member of the New York Yankees. The game was against the Minnesota Twins. The Yankees won the game by the score of 4-0.
