NHL Career
Vyborny was drafted 33rd overall in the 1993 NHL Draft by the Edmonton Oilers. In 1994, Vyborny played for the Cape Breton Oilers, an Edmonton Oilers' American Hockey League affiliate. He returned to Europe in 1995, where he played in the Czech Republic and Sweden for five seasons. On June 7, 2000, Vyborny signed as a free agent with the Columbus Blue Jackets. He made his NHL debut that same year and spent a total of seven seasons with the team.
