David Tanabe

  • David Tanabe is a professional hockey player currently playing for the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League.
  • NHL Career

    Tenabe was drafted out of the University of Wisconsin by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 1999 NHL Draft, 16th overall. He made his NHL debut that same year, playing 31 games with the Hurricanes. Tenable played for the Hurricanes until 2003, when he was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes. He played just over a season in Phoenix, then was traded to the Boston Bruins in 2005. He finished the 2005-06 season with the Bruins, then entered the free agency. Tenabe returned to the Hurricanes in 2006 as an unrestricted free agent.
