Early Life
David Sifry spent his childhood in Long Island, New York. He received a degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University and subsequently moved to Silicon Valley to pursue a career in tech.
Technorati
He first starting working for Mitsubishi and ultimately founded Technorati, a web company that aimed at indexing and ranking all the blogs on the internet. The company did well at first but also initially came under criticism for not including MySpace blogs - this was remedied by the company shortly after the critique was made.
