David Privette was arrested on charges he physically abused the 7 year old son of his girlfriend, Michelle Henry. Privette allegedly urinated on the boy's head, beat him with a belt, and burned his genitals. The school nurse was concerned, and maintains she called social services 3 times with her suspicions. They visited the home four times in the three months prior to the arrest, but allowed the boy and his three year old sister to stay in the home. Privette allegedly has previous arrests for cocaine possession and assaulting a police officer. He was charged on March 18, 2008 with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a child. On March 20, the charges were increased to add indecent assault and battery and mayhem.
