David Pollack is a professional football player for the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals.
Injury
On September 17, 2006, David Pollack was injured in the first quarter of a game against the Cleveland Browns. Pollack suffered a broken cervical vertebrae and was taken off the field on a stretcher. Although Pollack did not suffer any paralysis, he did have surgery to repair damage. Pollack missed the remainder of the 2006 season and the entire 2007 season. Although doctors said that Pollack would be able to return to football if his rehabilitation went as planned, on April 22, 2008, it was announced that Pollack would likely retire due to his injury.The Enquirer: Pollack expected to retire (April 22, 2008)
