National Football League wide receiver David Patten plays for the New England Patriots of the National Football League.

Football Career
Patten entered the NHL in 1997 by signing with the New York Giants. He made his NHL debut that same year, playing in 16 games, recording 226 yards and scoring two touchdowns. After three seasons with the Giants, Patten played the 2000 season with the Cleveland Browns, then signed with the New England Patriots in 2001. Patten had a breakout season in 2002 with New England, totaling 824 yards and five touchdowns. He won the Super Bowl three times with the Patriots, in 2002, 2004 and 2005.
After signing with the Washington Redskins in 2005, Patten's playing time was limited because of a knee injury.
