  • New York Governor David Paterson has admitted to having had an extra-marital affair from 1999 to 2001.

    This revelation came just hours after being sworn in as the new governor following the Eliot Spitzer scandal.

    The governor's wife, Michelle Paige Paterson, admitted that she was unfaithful in their marriage as well. They both decided to go public with the information because of rumors circulating around Albany, New York.

    The governor did deny a rumor that he has a child with another woman. The identity of the former relationship partner has not been revealed.
