David Jacobs

David Jacobs was found dead in his home in Plano, Texas on June 5, 2008. Jacobs was a convicted former steroids dealer who had turned informant for the NFL.

Background

Jacobs' steroid dealing network was uncovered in a DEA investigation in September of 2007.

Jacobs had been making steroids in his home from powder he obtained from China. He then distributed it to a relatively few connections within the NFL, who then passed it on.

Crime Scene

Police were called to the scene by family members of Amanda Jo Earnhart Savell, who had been missing for several days. Upon arriving at the home of Jacobs, they discovered both bodies shot to death.
