  • David "Dawg" Grisman is a well-known Mandolin player whose music is a mixture of Jazz, Folk and Bluegrass. While Grisman is perhaps best known for his work with the David Grisman Quartet, he has also provided his musicianship on albums for a number of other groups, including Old and in the Way, the Even Dozen Jug Band and a collaboration with his close friend Jerry Garcia (of the Grateful Dead). Grisman has worked with some of the towering figures in the world of Bluegrass, including Tony Rice, Peter Rowan, Bela Fleck, Sam Bush and Earl Scruggs.
