David Gray is a British Singer Songwriter who style mixes confessional Folk songwriting with modern production values and Electronic flourishes. Although he had been writing and performing since 1993, Gray finally achieved fame in 1999 with his breakthrough album White Ladder - which produced the hit songs "This Year's Love", "Babylon" and "Please Forgive Me." After his commercially successful (but critically maligned) second album, Gray returned in 2005 with his seventh album Life in Slow Motion.
