David Cross is a comedian/actor and comedy writer. After starting out as a stand-up comic, he became a writer for the short-lived series, The Ben Stiller Show in the early '90s, which helped launch his career.
Television
In 1995, Cross created the popular HBO sketch comedy show Mr. Show with Bob and David with Bob Odenkirk. He also played Tobias Fünke on the cult Fox sitcom Arrested Development, a show that won a rabid fan base but never managed to perform well in the ratings. Besides those most notable stints, Cross has appeared in supporting roles in several series, including Just Shoot Me and The Colbert Report.
Other Projects
Cross has had roles in many films, including Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Men in Black, and Waiting for Guffman. He has also sustained a successful career in stand-up including two comedy albums, one of which garnered a Grammy nomination.
