David Carr is a columnist and journalist for The New York Times. He writes about culture and media for the newspaper and has his own blog, The Carpetbagger, about the Academy Awards. He also appears in weekly videos on the New York Times Web site where he talks about the Academy Awards.
The Night of the Gun
The Night of the Gun is about Carr's history of drug addiction and his recovery from it. Carr was addicted to drugs before he started at the New York Times.
