  • Angel

Vampire with a soul Angel was born as Liam in 1727 in Ireland. A wastrel with a love of debauchery, he was turned into a vampire at the age of 26, and his soul vanished. He renamed himself Angelus, and cut a bloody swath across Europe, eventually creating the vampire who would later become known as Spike. In 1898, a group of Gypsies, angered at his torture and murder of a Gypsy woman, cursed him with a soul. The only thing that would lift the curse was a moment of true happiness. His conscience will not allow him to kill humans. Almost a hundred years later, he falls in love with the vampire slayer Buffy, and helps her fight evil. After a terrible break-up, he moves to Los Angeles to continue his fight for good.
