    Prior to playing in the NFL, Barrett played college football with the Arkansas Razorbacks in the NCAA, He recorded 176 tackles, seven interceptions, three forced fumbles and five sacks to earn two All-SEC selections.     Barrett made his professional debut with the Arizona Cardinals in 2000, playing in all 16 regular season games. He continued with the Cardinals for three additional seasons, earning a starting sport in 2002. On March 6, 2004, Barrett signed as a free agent with the New York Jets.
