David Banner is a rapper, record producer and actor from Mississippi. His name is taken from the scientist alter-ego of the comic-book superhero The Incredible Hulk.
In March 2009, Banner commented on the alleged February 8 assault of singer Rihanna by her boyfriend Chris Brown. Banner, who collaborated with Brown on the 2008 song "Get Like Me (Stuntin' Is a Habit)", said that although the assault is a touchy subject for him he believes that the public should refrain from rushing to judgment until hearing both sides of the story.E Online: Chris Brown Pal: We Shouldn't Judge... David Banner. released his major label debut, Mississippi: The Album, in 2003 featured the hit single, "Like A Pimp" featuring Lil' Flip. He has released three moderately successful albums since. 2005's Certified contained his highest charting single, "Play" which peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100.-
