American Idol Season 7 contestant David Archuleta sang the Andrew Lloyd Webber song "Think of Me" from the musical Phantom of the Opera on the April 22, 2008 episode of the show. The program was dedicated to both Lloyd Webber's catalog and Earth Day. Webber was shocked that Archuleta picked the song because it was written for a woman. Webber also urged Archuleta to keep his eyes open.

Knew it would be a big night for Archuleta. "It was the bomb." Declared that Archuleta was the one to beat.Paula
Amazed that he took a power Broadway ballad and made it a great pop song.Idol Chatter Review
"Odds on David A. singing a ballad are something like a googooplex to 1. He's interviewed yet again (or at least hugged by youthful fans). He chooses Think of Me from Phantom of the Opera, and Lloyd Webber advises him to open his eyes. His version is actually slightly uptempo by Archuleta standards, but does not veer from the middle of the musical road. His eyes are mostly open, his voice alternately powerful and insufficiently projected. Big finish is handled expertly. Super Stage Dad gets a brief moment on screen. Randy proclaims he's the one to beat. Paula says it was absolutely perfect. Is there a voice of moderation here? Simon? He says it was pleasant and one of his weakest performances and, essentially, forgettable. Good old Simon."-
