American guitarist and rockstar Dave Navarro of alternative rock band Jane's Addiction has posed nude for Animal Rights organization PETA’s "Ink, Not Mink" campaign.

In an interview with PETA, Navarro states:
"Several years ago, I saw video footage of animals being skinned alive and screaming, and it, it honestly is the most horrific, inhumane thing I've ever seen... Some of the simple things you can do to help save animals is not buy fur, stay away from products that have been animal tested. It's really very, very simple to just support something or buy something that doesn't brutalize animals like this."

Dave Navarro, born in Santa Monica, California is the long-time member of alternative rock band Jane's Addiction and cover band Camp Freddy. Navarro's main instrument is the guitar, but he also plays the piano, keyboards, bass, and does vocals. Navarro has played in many bands, including Red Hot Chili Peppers with whom he featured on their album "One Hot Minute", with Nine Inch Nails on "Piggy", and Guns N' Roses, who he joined for "End of Days OST".
