Dave Meggett

Former professional football running back Dave Meggett played in the National Football League from 1989 to 1998.

Meggett was arrested on January 13, 2009, for allegations of raping a woman in South Carolina. He was previously arrested at least four times on similar charges, dating back to 1990.Boston Herald: Ex-Patriot David Meggett Facing Rape Charge in SC

Legal Trouble

In 1990, Meggett was acquitted on charges of soliciting a prostitute, that was actually an undercover police officer, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was later accused of raping and burglarizing a prostitute in 1998, however the charges were dropped. A third arrest came in 2006, when Meggett was sentenced to six months of probation for claims of sexual battery in South Carolina.
