Dave Carroll was part of the Halifax based band called Sons Of Maxwell. The group toured Canada, China, United States and Europe. They released 8 CDs and over 40 songs. In 2009, he released his debut solo album entitled Perfect Blue. Dave Carroll does not lay claim to a specific genre, instead bringing together a mix of Country music,pop, rock and folk. His solo album contains 12 tracks. His song "United Breaks Guitars" is now available on youtube.com
Career
In 2009, Carroll appeared on the CBSEarly Show to discuss his song "United Breaks Guitars" which was inspired by an incident in which Carroll claims United Airlines damaged his guitar. Since this release, the airline is offering compensation for the event. There are two more songs in the works about this particular topic. This occured during the tour with the band Sons Of Maxwell in 2008.
His album has won awards including "Inspirational Album Of The Year" at Nova Scotia Music Week. He has also had numerous nominations from the ECMA and has won some of these.
