  • Dave Arneson was an American game designer who co-created the role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons along with Gary Gygax. Arneson was inducted into the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design's Hall of Fame and named by Pyramid magazine as one of The Millinneum's Most Influential Persons in the realm of adventure gaming.

    Davev Arneson died after a long struggle with cancer the evening of April 7, 2009. He was 61 years old. The visitation will be held at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in St. Paul, Minnesota, on April 20, 2009.

  • Declining Health

    In 2002, creator Dave Arneson suffered a stroke, and was soon after diagnosed with cancer. From the time of his diagnoses until his death, he was surrounded with friends and family. He succumbed to his illness in St. Paul, Minnesota, at the age of 61.
