Daum.net was started in 1995 by Jae-Woong Lee. It is currently the most popular web portal in South Korea. In 1997, Daum launched a free e-mail service call Hanmail.net. In 1999, they launched their social network site "Daum's Cafe." http://info.daum.net/DaumEng/info/subHistory2001.do

Daum.net users can read news, contribute content, chat in the Daum's Cafe, search videos and read email.
