Daul Kim was a South Korean model, born May 31, 1989 in Seoul. In 2006, she started modelling in Korea, and in her first year appeared several times in the Korean edition of Vogue.
In 2007 she starts working for Chanel, Dries Van Noten, and Maison Martin Marigela in Paris. She also produces her own short film, called '4', in which she plays an airplane passenger. In subsequent years, she is a regular face of Vogue issues around the world, including China. In 2008, she was voted Model of The Year by Anan magzine. That year, New York magazine contracted her to kep a video diary of her presence at the New York Fashion Week.
In 2009 her star rises even further, with running shows for Vivienne Westwood, Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Maison Martin Margiela, and Dries van Noten in London, Milan and Paris.
On November 19 2009, Daul Kim was found dead in her apartment in Paris. She allegedly took her own life, according to German sources.
