The Band
Daughtry is a pop rock band out of McLeansville, North Carolina formed in 2006 by former American Idol finalist, Chris Daughtry. The band's first album simply titled Daughtry was released in 2006. The album reached number one for two non-consecutive weeks on Billboard 200 and was named the number one selling album of 2007 by Billboard.[1] A second album Leave This Town was released July 14, 2009 which has sold over 1.9 million worldwide. The debut and this album together have sold over 9.5 million copies .[2]Band Tour
Daughtry has been touring since January 2007 with performances in the U.S., Canada, The UK, Germany, Australia and Singapore. The band was an opening act for Bon Jovi's Lost Highway Tour which was a tremendous success, selling over 4 million dollars in merchandise. .[1]Daughtry nominated for AMA award
